Child Care Coalition of Manitoba

On March 28th, the Manitoba Child Care Association submitted a petition with 25,924 signatures to the Legislature. The petition "urges the Provincial Government to increase funding for licensed not-for-profit childcare programs in recognition of the importance of early learning and child care in Manitoba which will also improve quality and stability inthe workforce." This is an important effort to support and strengthen the childcare system, and is especially timely as the provincial budget cuts spending for 2019/2020 by $1.5 million
